Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian TV presenter and actress. Her most well-known work is the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara was born as the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. When she was 16 and a leading role in several dramas on television. Her critically acclaimed performance in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge in the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the actress. Alexandra was involved in a variety of important international and national projects throughout her career. They comprise British biographical films Control and The Dust of Time as along with the French historical miniseries Napoleon. Additionally, she was an active member of the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
